Maherah Khan is a Senior Associate at Beaufort Associates, specialising in tax compliance. She is an ACCA Affiliate, having completed the examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Maherah began her career at Beaufort Associates, joining the firm in 2023, and today plays a key role in managing the firm’s tax engagements, supervising a team of associates involved in the day-to-day execution of tax compliance assignments.

She works closely with Beaufort’s clients on all aspects of VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, including tax registrations, return filings, deregistrations, the maintenance of tax records and supporting documentation, tax health checks and ongoing compliance reviews.

She serves as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing technical and operational tax queries, reviewing the tax implications of business transactions, and ensuring timely submissions and adherence to statutory deadlines in accordance with Federal Tax Authority requirements.

Maherah has managed tax engagements for a diverse portfolio of family-owned businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises across the UAE. Her client experience spans both mainland and free zone entities operating in sectors including information technology, media, consultancy, real estate and trading.

In addition to her tax specialisation, Maherah assists with accounting and financial reporting assignments for Beaufort clients, including financial statement preparation, the coordination of external audits, the maintenance of accounting records and compliance with IFRS reporting requirements.

Maherah brings a strong working knowledge of the UAE tax framework, Federal Tax Authority procedures and regulatory compliance requirements. Her combined exposure to taxation and accounting enables her to provide commercially focused support while maintaining high standards of technical accuracy and compliance. She is recognised by clients for her responsiveness, attention to detail and ability to address tax matters in a practical and business-oriented manner.
